While growing up milkshakes during summer had been a common occurrence, but when I heard about a smoothie in a bowl was so unreal and fascinating at the same time. I simply had to try it out

Since I wanted to continue with the mango saga, and I wanted to make something with mango and I had the chia seeds left from the falooda and thought I would combine the craving and the fascination and make a mango smoothie bowl.

Mango Smoothie Bowl

It's like a party of flavours when you actually have a spoon full of the smoothie. It has the tangy sweet flavours of the mango along with the bitter of the walnut and a different kind of sweet from the almonds; this along with the crunch of the chia seeds and the dry fruits.

The day I make the smoothie bowl, I ended up having this for breakfast, and might I add it was quite filling and had me going until lunch that day.

Ingredients

Mango
1
Milk
1/2 cup
Chia Seeds
1 teaspoon
Melon seeds
1 teaspoon
Whole walnuts (broken into pieces)

Steps

  1. Peel the mango and cut it into large chunks and add it into a blender along with the milk.
  2. Blend for about 30 seconds or until there are no chunks. Transfer to a bowl
  3. Garnish with chia seeds, melon seeds and walnuts. Serve Cold

Notes:

  • I like the tangy sweet flavour of the smoothie, if you think it's too sour for your taste, please feel free to add some sugar to the smoothie while blending.
